One of the greats, Dave Martin, or LD to everyone at Richmond City, has reached 200 games with the club on a couple of weekends ago - and to top it off, in his 200th game he passed yet another milestone by scoring 3000 runs for the club.
Note: For those who may not be aware and who may be wondering about the picture above, Richmond City has a tradition that when you enter the "200 club" you have your caricature immortalized on the walls of our clubrooms.
Before his 200th game started, LD has notched up 2970 runs with a high score of 157. With his batting chart having a significant hot spot through point LD has his own unique style that can only be described by the motto of "must cut". His 200th game didn't disappoint with 33 runs scored to push him over the 3000 milestone barrier... with a few cut shots in there to boot!
LD is also talented with the ball, having taken 119 wickets with a sneaky best of 5/31. That's right, 119 blokes played for spin!
LD is a Richmond City Premiership player having played in the 2006/07 third XI premiership. He has also captained the third XI on three separate occasions. A Kwasny Medalist in 2008/09, a past Vice President and inducted as a Life Member in 2012/13, LD has put a lot into the club.
