About Women's Cricket:

-
The Richmond City Cricket Club Women's Team plays as a part of the Cricket Southern Bayside Women's Competition.
-
Games are a T20 and T30 format. Each side faces 20/30 overs meaning that the games last approximately 2-2.5 hours.
-
In 2024 there are 14 games in the season - all played on Sunday afternoons.
-
In Division 4 Batters retire after facing 20 deliveries/balls to give everyone the opportunity to participate - In the event that all the players 'go out' the retired batters come back in to continue their innings.
-
Richmond City Cricket Club supplies all your equipment - with a women's team kit bag that includes all batting pads, bats, helmets, and wicket-keeping equipment that is used solely by the women's team.
-
Richmond City will also work with you to arrange a playing top to be worn at each game.
-
The competition is designed to encourage women to play cricket and welcomes/encourages beginners to get involved.
-
Please don't worry about your skill level. The team is a warm and supportive environment made up of women with a variety of different skill levels coming together to have fun on a Sunday afternoon.
-
While we are hoping to have a regular playing roster, our team is made up of women who attend what games they can, making their involvement fit around the other elements of their lives - so if you're interested in playing cricket but you are worried about the overall commitment, don't - just give Casey a call and see how you can tailor your involvement to suit your life.
So if you're interested in finding out more about how you might get involved in playing in the Richmond City Cricket Club Women's team please send an enquire to Casey Hawley on 0425 796 522 or email richmondcitycc@gmail.com.
